Why should I join?

MVFHF is one of the only clubs in the Fremont Union High School District that sends members to a foreign country for humanitarian work. For the past three years, our members have made a huge difference in the lives of over 50 orphaned children in a Third World country. More importantly, the students who travel to Vietnam meet college graduates and volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and return to Cupertino as both globally-aware citizens and appreciative human beings. Even the members who are unable to travel to Hue can gain the satisfaction of knowing the difference their hard work has made.

Other Reasons to Join:
  • MVFHF is much smaller than the other larger community service clubs on campus, which gives officers and members many opportunities to get to know each other on a personal level.
  • The club works for a unique cause that no other club on campus can match; our goal goes beyond just community service and involves MVHS students directly empowering those who do not have the means to succeed in life.
  • There are no limits to how many members can sign up for an event.
  • Colleges appreciate unique community service clubs that work for a special cause.
  • Mr. Kim will give extra credit for students who are active members in the club.
